Greetings!

We hope that everyone is well out there, long time no see! We've been on hiatus at RAR in order to write and pre-produce the new Sonic Boom Six album which has taken up all our time and energy. We're pleased to say that the album is written and demo'd and, with the recording imminent, we're able to start to concentrate our attention to other areas. One of which is Rebel Alliance! We're kicking back into things with the forthcoming tour which unites two of our favourite artists, Chris Murray and Babar Luck for the Acoustic Live And Direct tour 2011. Both of these artists have toured with SB6 and been huge inspirations so we're stoked to be a part of this.

To co-incide with the tour Rebel Alliance Recordings are proud to release the UK CD version of the newest record by Chris Murray. Chris Murray & Friends presents the man himself's very favorite unreleased tracks recorded over the past 15 years. A few have previously appeared on compilations, "best of" collections, or unofficial limited run releases, but most have sat silently in drawers full of cassettes and CDRs for years waiting to be heard.



These songs and recordings tell the tale of his life in music and as a person. They speak of the joy and the pain, the struggles and successes, and the dreams and disappointments of a path that was often uncertain but always very special and full of love.

Featuring excellent guest appearances by Lloyd Knibb, Lloyd Brevett and Cedric Brooks of The Skatalites, Vic Ruggiero and Jay Nugent of The Slackers, Brian Dixon and Jeff Roffredo of The Aggrolites, Ben Farrar and Eddie "Chiquis" Lozoya of Chris Murray Combo and many more, plus a co-writing credit to Neville Staple of The Specials and an engineering credit to Matt Embree of RX Bandits, Chris Murray & Friends showcases the depth of collaboration he has had the good fortune to connect with during his life in LA.

Well hello!

It's certainly been a while! I hope everyone out there is safe and well as 2010 weaves its way into the dark nights of autumn. We at Rebel Alliance have had quite a few ups and downs over the last year and there has been some speculation (from you and us) about where things are going. We're glad to say that we're now pushing onwards and upwards and we'd like to take this opportunity to apologise for anyone that was left waiting for items earlier in the year when our complications were at a maximum. We really are sorry about our errant mail-order operation and we appreciate everyone's patience and understanding through those difficult times. I'm pleased to say we're now looking forward, not least to Mouthwash and Sonic Boom Six's headline tours of the UK!

Mouthwash have been gigging like madmen over the last few months, promoting their incredible True Stories CD (which you can check out HERE). Chris from Mouthwash has written a little statement over on the Facebook event for Mouthwash's UK headline tour (that starts today!) that I thought was far too poignant for us to add anything to. "We are really excited about this tour, its kinda like the end of True Stories in a way, we have been building up loads whilst pushing this record, but we have never really headlined shows yet. It's like the sum of all the work we have been doing to push it. We are enjoying planning a longer set than usual, which includes old tunes we haven't played for years, brand new ones and all the favourites from recent tours."

Sonic Boom Six has been as busy as ever with the release of their compilation RUDE AWAKENING from which their brand new cover of 'Addicted To Bass' has been getting some radio airplay recently (you can hear it on the Rebel Alliance Myspace HERE). RUDE AWAKENING is a celebration of the SB6 story so far and includes the Boom favourites 'Piggy in The Middle' 'Sound of a Revolution' and 'Monkey See, Monkey Do', their latest video for 'The Road To Hell Is Paved With Good Inventions' and the aforementioned 'Addicted To Bass'.
